Teal the Truth and Haight are definitely my favorites at the moment. They are great crease colors for a bright look. Teal Pearl and Azure are lighter shades of teal and are excellent lid colors. Deep Sea is the most stunning of the bunch. However, it is the most finicky. It requires a somewhat sticky and extremely crease-resistant base to work on the lid. I usually just use it as a liner, but I recently found out that the Mahya multipurpose minerals can also be mixed with clear mascara and used on the lashes. I fully intend to play around with all of the possibilities that opens up! :)
So I'm sure you're wondering, 'Why teal? What's the big deal about a mix of green and blue?'
Well, first, it's just a nice summery color, but there's more to it than that. If you love blue, teal can be a great way to incorporate it without looking like Mimi from the Drew Carey show. Blue is a tough color to pull off and can go wrong quite easily; teal looks great on almost anyone. Now I know that Summer is officially over, but the best thing about teal is the versatility. In the Summer, I usually pair it with blues, purples, and soft sandy/nude colors. In the Fall, I pair it with taupes and browns and it transitions incredibly well. I can't wait to try Teal the Truth on the lid with UD Darkhorse in the crease for a dramatic fall smokey eye! Teal also pairs well with green for either summer or fall. (If you really want to play it up though, go for a gradient from blue to teal to green!) If bright colors on the lid aren't your style, teal shadows also look amazing as a pop of color on the lower lashline.
